Is the book always better?
Join us on the third Monday of each month as we watch a film adapted from the book we’ve read, followed by a group discussion comparing the two. Copies of the next month’s book will be available on movie night. This program is open to anyone interested in joining the conversation, and books can be picked up at the library.
This month's book: "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Truman Capote
It's New York in the 1940s, where the martinis flow from cocktail hour till breakfast at Tiffany's... And nice girls don't, except, of course, Holly Golightly. Pursued by Mafia gangsters and playboy millionaires, Holly is a fragile eyeful of tawny hair and turned-up nose, a heartbreaker, a perplexer, a traveler, a tease. She is irrepressibly 'top banana in the shock department', and one of the shining flowers of American fiction.
