Did you know that adding color to your meals may help you live a longer, healthier life? Colorful fruits and vegetables can paint a beautiful picture of health because they contain phytonutrients, compounds that give plants their rich colors as well as their distinctive tastes and aromas. When humans eat plant foods, phytonutrients can protect us from chronic diseases.
On Saturday, join members from our Cookbook Club (called Food for Thought), our Friends of the Sandown Library group, Library Trustees, and Library staff will treat us with a variety of colorful and tasty foods. Come sample the many dishes they have chosen and maybe find a new favorite food!
